The SEED PACK is a small envelope that will be sent home with each child. The first week of every session the Seed Pack will contain a newsletter and a 1-page story of the incorporated Bible verses for the entire 6-7 week session; a copy of the song that will be learned during that session, and the 4 note cards detailed below. The following weeks will contain the 4 note cards and some materials that may be needed for the take home activity.
SEED: First we start by planting the seed...by asking questions.
The SEED card will have questions that are asked during class. Every child will have a chance to give his/her ideas and thoughts.
SOIL: By nurturing the seed with the Word of God.
The SOIL card will have the Bible verse that is talked about during Sunday school. We encourage each child to memorize the verse by giving them a punch card that they can fill up and have a chance to choose a prize from the Roots Troop prize box.
WATER: Ever flowing are waters and so shall we be by engaging in an activity outside of church.
The WATER card will have an activity that the child can do at home reinforcing the learning at Sunday school. We encourage family members to participate in these activities to strengthen Christian relationships with each child.
SOW: By showing our children how to express Christian love to our family, friends, & neighbors in our Action Steps
The SOW card will have an act of kindness written on it. Something each child can do for someone else that week. This will encourage them to love their neighbors and to help others when they are in need. Examples include, holding the door for someone, making a gift for a friend, or even as simple as saying a prayer for someone else.
